First ever Islamic ‘Halal’ search engine for Muslims web users
This is for the first time that a Search engine is launched specifically aimed at providing searches that are free from any offencive contents which contradicts with Islamic laws and beliefs. The search engine is named ImHalal.com.
According to ImHalal.com, Muslims have become very active on the Internet. The lack of tools for Muslims to be able to continue their online activities responsibly has inspired ImHalal.com to enter the search engine market.
I have taken a look at ImHalal.com engine and found that the search engine filters the content on the basis of ’Haram’ (offensive) level(1 to 3) of the results. For example, if the searches content is offensive then the search engine will display ‘Haram’ level 1 out of 3 as shown below
Image search in the engine is still in its Beta stage. It is a new initative of its kind and has already become quite popular but the truth lies in future. So, lets wait and watch. Do share your thoughts on the same.
