[How to] Convert images into icons with Free Simplyicon
Simplyicon is a free software that can help you in creating new icons by using image file like jpg, gif, png etc. Now you don’t have to look for icon file(.ico) matching an image in your photo inventory. Just use Simplyicon to create a icon file out of that image.
This program generates down-sampled 32×32, 24×24 and 16×16 levels automatically. It will also generate the 128×128 level if your source image is equal to or larger than 128×128.
Simplyicon is a stand alone file which doesn’t require any installation. The only prerequisite is .NET Framework 2.0.
The procedure of creating an icon file for an image is very simple. You just need to drag the file on Simplyicon window.
Create and enjoy using icons with your favourite images.
