How to Mute Computer Speakers Automatically on Locking Windows
Friends, there are instances when I locked my desktop while listening songs and later had to unlock it to mute the sound. Well, this may happen with anyone. How good it would be if there is a way to mute the speakers automatically on locking Windows.
Now we have a free utility called Mute on lock from which solves the purpose. Mute on Lock is a tiny resident utility that sits in the system tray and monitor when you are locking your Windows workstation, and it mutes the sound of your speakers.
Mute on Lock works in all Windows versions including the latest Windows 7. This free utility enable you to mute the sound on locking the workstation or by pressing a hot key which you can configure.
Installing Mute on Lock is very easy and just a matter of some clicks. Below is a screen shot.
As shown in above screen shot, you can also configure Mute on Lock to either Mute/Unmute sound or Show Options on double clicking the tray icon.
