How to Close All Windows with One Click

It happens a number of times that while working we open multiple windows one by one and doesn’t close them in the same way. After an hour we see 8 9 open windows on taskbar. Now if we want to close the all open windows, we have to do this one by one until or unless one decide to shut down the computer for closing all the open windows in a single shot :)

Well, now we have a very handy tool to solve the purpose. Its called Close All. Close All Windows is a very small utility lets you to close all running applications with just one click.

I tested it on windows XP and Windows Vista (both 32 bit) and it worked fine.

Installation

It doesn’t require installation.

Using Close All

1) Run Close All from Start–>Run.

Just copy Closeall.exe in c:/windows and you are done. You can use Closeall command as shown below.

Note : When you run Close All from Start—>Run for the first time, Windows Vista will pop up a warning message and ask whether you want to run this application or not. Just uncheck flag ‘Always ask before opening this file’ and the message will not appear on running Close All in future.

2) Create a shortcut on desktop.

Right click Close All.exe—>Send to—>Desktop(create shortcut)

3) Drag Close All shortcut on Quick launch

4) If you want to prevent certain applications from being to be closed by Close All, you can add a simple exclusion list to the CloseAll.exe command line.

Right-click the shortcut and choose Properties from the context menu:

Go to the Shortcut tab, Target and add -x=”app-to-exclude.exe”:

You can separate multiple values with “|” (pipe), example:

-x=”explorer.exe|firefox.exe|msnmsgr.exe”

Download Close All

Click download close all to visit official website and download close all.
